News first broke last month that...
It's always a risky move to perform one of the judges' songs in front of them on American Idol, and for Emily Piriz the decision may have backfired.
Last Thursday, Piriz became the second contestant voted off of Season 13, after performingJennifer Lopez' "Let's Get Loud" 24 hours earlier.
But the 18-year-old from Miami says she doesn't regret her decision.
Though she was the first Top 13 contestant to be eliminated on Season 13 of American Idol,Kristen O'Connor says she wouldn't have done anything differently — even though she was talked out of her original song choice for what ended up being her final performance.
"They ask us to send a list of three songs that we think we're going to sing, and it actually wasn't on my list," O'Connor tells TVGuide.com. "But then the producers were like, 'Oh, we think this would be a really good song.' They got really excited about it, and so I got really excited about it. ... Mark Burnett should be at least a little panicked. Just two days after CeeLo Green announced he would not be returning to The Voice, news broke that fellow original coach Christina Aguilera is expecting her second child, leaving the fate of not one, but two red chairs possibly empty on the hit NBC singing show.

After making their debuts last spring in Season 4, Usher and Shakira seem poised to officially come out of the shadows of the original judges they replaced, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green. How will they do it? And what else can fans expect from Season 6? Read on for five teases about The Voice's highly anticipated return...

Those outfits! Those wigs! Those ... pets?! There are plenty of reasons why CeeLo Green (and Purrfect the cat, and Lady the bird) are irreplaceable on The Voice. But, like it or not, NBC will soon have to start searching for the next music superstar to fill Green's big red chair this coming fall on the heels of his exit from the highly rated singing competition.

CeeLo Green has turned his chair for the last time: The Voice coach won't be returning to the hit series, he announced on Wednesday's episode of Ellen.
"I'm going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year," the singer toldEllen DeGeneres. "But yeah, I'm going to miss The Voice, too. I'm not coming back, guys."
