Chris Pine has been arrested and charged with drunken driving in New Zealand, the Christchurch newspaper The Press reports.

The actor was pulled over on March 1 after leaving a wrap party for Z for Zachariah, a post-apocalyptic film Pine had been filming in New Zealand.

J.J. Abrams to Direct Star Trek 2

J.J. Abrams will direct the sequel to his 2009 film Star Trek, Vulture reports.

Star Trek 2 will bring back Chris Pine as Capt. Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will write the screenplay with Damon Lindelof producing. The film was slated for a June 2012 release, but will likely be pushed back.
