J.J. Abrams will direct the sequel to his 2009 film Star Trek, Vulture reports.
Star Trek 2 will bring back Chris Pine as Capt. Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will write the screenplay with Damon Lindelof producing. The film was slated for a June 2012 release, but will likely be pushed back.
Megamind again led the movie box office, bringing in $30.1 million in its second weekend, Box Office Mojo reports.
