NCIS: Los Angeles
NCIS: Los Angeles loves to blow things up. So when executive producer Shane Brennan received word that the CBS drama would air a two-hour finale, he was practically giddy.
Finale Preview: Get scoop on 39 must-watch season-enders
"There's a particularly amazing explosion in the second hour of the show ... and there are no computer graphics in this explosion," Brennan says. "The debris is real, the fire balls are real. We have this opportunity of doing a double episode and we ended up with a movie in effect. I don't think in 30 years of doing this, I've ever had a more challenging two hours of TV to put together."
But while things may go boom early and often, look for a lot of other explosive moments between the characters...

LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell
On the NCIS: Los Angeles set this March day, there's even more bull in the bullpen than usual. The number of buff leading men wearing too-tight shirts has suddenly doubled, and so has the quick-fire banter.
Several of the law enforcers on hand need to be inoculated against smallpox, since their mission is to bring down a madman intent on infecting the population with the virus. "I'm not a big fan of needles," squeaks Eric Christian Olsen, as Deeks. "I'll buy you ice cream if you don't cry," promises Kensi (Daniela Ruah). Linda Hunt, aka Hetty, plays the straight woman, telling Deeks: "You might feel a...

Chris O'Donnell
NCIS: Los Angeles executive producer Shane Brennan promises that Tuesday's episode will reveal more about the mysterious past of Chris O'Donnell's Agent Callen than the first two seasons combined.
Fall Preview: Get scoop on all your favorite returning shows
"This is a moment that we've been planning for 50-odd episodes," Brennan tells TVGuide.com. "In the first four or five minutes, you will learn an enormous amount of detail about who Callen is. It fills in blanks that he's just discovered in these past few episodes, but it fills in details that go right back to when he was a child and how he ended up in the United States. It is very specific."
Last week, Hetty (Linda Hunt) returned to the operations center after having been shot by the head of a Romanian crime family with connections to Callen's past. She brought Callen a gift: his mother's name....

NCIS: Los Angeles
Change is coming to NCIS: Los Angeles.

The results? Hilarity, and possibly disaster, Olsen tells TVGuide.com. "Hunter [Claire Forlani] is the catalyst for most of the disasters early on this season," he says. "She decides it's in her best interest to switch up the partnering."
Although Olsen says all of the NCIS agents are unhappy about the switch, he admits there is a lot of fun in Sam and Deeks' odd-couple pairing...

Linda Hunt
NCIS: Los Angeles couldn't carry on without Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt), could it? That's just the question creator and executive producer Shane Brennan is prepared to ask in the sophomore CBS drama's final two episodes.
Tuesday's episode (9/8c, CBS) finds the team investigating the death of a Navy SEAL imposter who was set on fire. The investigation uncovers new intel on the whereabouts of a stolen canister of radioactive material that could be used to make a bomb.
Claire Forlani to recur on NCIS: LA as new operations manager
But the real bombshell comes from a woman by the name of Lauren Hunter (Camelot's Claire Forlani), who shows up at the Operations Center and utters the phrase, "I am Hetty's replacement," just as Hetty mysteriously resigns...

Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J
It's ice-cream-sundae Thursday on the set of NCIS: Los Angeles, and almost everyone is indulging between takes. Even LL Cool J, who moonlights as a fitness guru. "Hey, you've earned it," a crew member tells the überbuff rapper/action hero, as if he needs anyone's consent for a sugar rush. The collegial atmosphere continues as Chris O'Donnell passes Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen, who wrapped their roles a half hour ago yet have stuck around to yak over their Ben & Jerry's. "Don't you two have homes?" O'Donnell demands to know, breezing on by before Ruah has a chance to kickbox his behind.
Apparently the lone holdout, O'Donnell hasn't taken any...
