It's Yoji's story, as the struggling apprentice begins to realize what a long road lies ahead before he can man the tattoo machine. Meanwhile, the gang gets a repeat visit from a former Skid Row rocker looking to pay tribute to his offspring in ink.

Ami helps Amber Dawn remember her beloved grandfather with a rosary tattoo, and Darren gives rocker Adam something that reminds him that he only lives once. Ami goes all out on a custom design for Shawn, and Garver gives Evan an old-school skull.

Garver struggles with personal demons while he helps a client find closure. Yoji has a communication breakdown and Ami gets in the middle. Núñez focuses on his mom's surgery, and Darren gets a call from Carolina that could mean big changes.
