Ricky Gervais may have applied for the top job at Dunder Mifflin, but don't expect to see him on The Office come fall.
The creator and star of the original BBC version of the sitcom criticized the hourlong season finale of the American Office on his blog Friday, writing, "If you're going to jump a shark, jump a big one."

Birthday girl Miranda Lambert was the big winner at the 44th Annual CMA Awards, while Gwyneth Paltrow brought country fans to their feet in her debut performance.
Lambert, who turned 27 Wednesday, walked away with four awards including album of the year for Revolution and female vocalist of the year. She also won song of the year and music video of the year, both for "The House That Built Me." Lambert's fiancé, Blake Shelton, took home male vocalist of the year.

That's what everyone has been buzzing about for the past few days. Turns out the Brooklyn band Creaky Boards has created a video showing the striking resemblance between their song and Coldplay's new "Viva la Vida" featured on the latest iTunes commercial. The songwriter claims he wrote the tune over a year before Chris Martin released his song and has the footage to prove it. Worst part of it all? The first version's title is "The Songs I Didn't Write." How's that for added irony?
