Chris Cuomo will leave Good Morning America to anchor 20/20; George Stephanopoulos and Juju Chang will join the morning news program, ABC announced Thursday.

"I have been blessed to be at GMA. I thank all of you," Cuomo, 39, said on Thursday's show. "[20/20] is a dream job for a journalist like me, but it was also a very difficult decision, because I am leaving a special place and crew and all of you and you are all part of my family. The good news is you never really leave family, so you're not going to see this mug every day, but you will see it often, especially when it matters."

While four soldiers suffered minor injuries, ABC news anchor Chris Cuomo escaped unscathed on Tuesday after the convoy of military police he was riding with in Iraq was struck by a roadside bomb. "If these vehicles did not have the armor that they did, this situation could have turned out very differently," Cuomo reported to Good Morning America.
