There has been speculation for months over whether or not the plans for the Jenni Rivera biopic would go through, but the wait is now over and the Rivera family has approved plans for the film. So, who scored the coveted role of La Diva De La Banda? According to The Huffington Post, Jenni's daughter Chiquis has scored the role. Many believe that this is a bold move by Chiquis to portray her Mother because she and Jenni had a very fragile relationship.
Chiquis Rivera is looking better than ever! The daughter of the late Jenni Rivera revealed her new body and weight loss to People En Espanol. The aspiring singer revealed that she had been criticized in the past for her weight and decided to do something about it. She tells the mag "People would say I was gordita. Yes I had a little chubby girl in my heart, and she's still with me, but like I always say: 'It's time for you [the gordita] to take a break." Chiquis lost thirty pounds in only eight weeks by exercise and avoiding foods like white rice and chocolate.
A new book revealing intimate details about La Diva De La Banda is set to release, and the family is not happy about it. Laura Lucio, the self-proclaimed best friend of Jenni Rivera, has written a new book about the late singer. Her book is titled My Crazy Life: Intimate Conversations With My Friend Jenni Rivera, and shows a different side of the singer. According to Laura, the book will contain stories that lead up to the untimely death of La Gran Senora. The Rivera family is not happy about the book. When asked about Laura's relationship with her Mother, Chiquis Rivera explained that she was not aware of any friendship. Chiquis confirmed to People En Espanol that the Rivera family did not authorize the release of the book.
"Forever Jenni" is what People En Espanol is calling it's December issue dedicated to the late Jenni Rivera. Coming up on the one year anniversary of her death, the mag features touching details about Rivera and her family. The late singer's daughter Chiquis, who didn't have the best relationship with Jenni months leading up to her death, opens up to the mag saying, "so many times I have woken up and said to myself, I wish she were in the kitchen, it's the only thing I want, for her to make something to eat and say I love you princess, that would make the day perfect for me."
