After 10 seasons of The Bachelor and three seasons of The Bachelorette, Chris Harrison informed us tonight that only four couples are still together. In addition to our newest couple, Charlie and Sarah are happily living together in Los Angeles; Byron and Mary are cozy in Texas and will wed in the fall; while Trista and Ryan have been married for four years and are expecting a little one at the end of the summer. And on a bittersweet note, my favorite bachelor of all time, Andrew Firestone, recently proposed to his girlfriend, which sadly means he is once again off the market. After a wild, boozy season of The Bachelor — complete with the requisite crazy chicks and scantily clad catfighters — Jerry O'Connell's little brother, Charlie, finally announces the woman he'd like to "spend more time with."
That's right, there'll be no syrupy marriage proposal or televised wedding. And in a Bachelor first, Charlie was permitted to date his two finalists — Sarah B. and Krisily — off camera before naming his Chosen One in tonight's live finale (8 pm/ET on ABC).
Mr. O'Connell says he's sick of sneaking around and can't wait to go public with his relationship. But TVGuide.com can't resist reminding him to be careful what he wishes for. Bachelor couples quickly turn into tabloid targets!
