With the most recent installment of ABC's The Bachelor ending with a twist and turning emotions, we've got to wonder: Why does The Bachelor have such a poor track record when it comes to couples who stay together? Is it possible that a TV show isn't the best place to look for love? We decided to take a look back — at both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette — to see where all the contestants are now.

After 10 seasons of The Bachelor and three seasons of The Bachelorette, Chris Harrison informed us tonight that only four couples are still together. In addition to our newest couple, Charlie and Sarah are happily living together in Los Angeles; Byron and Mary are cozy in Texas and will wed in the fall; while Trista and Ryan have been married for four years and are expecting a little one at the end of the summer. And on a bittersweet note, my favorite bachelor of all time, Andrew Firestone, recently proposed to his girlfriend, which sadly means he is once again off the market. In years past, the reunion show meant we got to see all of the ladies one last time, as they rehashed their feelings with one another and fired uncomfortable questions at the bachelor. Tonight's gathering was much smaller and much more subdued, as we were only privy to seeing five of the original 25 women from this season. Amber, Danielle and Steph T. were the first three to grace the stage with Chris. As ...

The Bachelor: Paris First off, Charlie O'Connell and Nurse Sarah are still together??? Did. Not. Expect. That. Aww, Mary and Byron — so cute. Trista and Ryan are trying for a baby. That's nice. After a wild, boozy season of The Bachelor — complete with the requisite crazy chicks and scantily clad catfighters — Jerry O'Connell's little brother, Charlie, finally announces the woman he'd like to "spend more time with."
That's right, there'll be no syrupy marriage proposal or televised wedding. And in a Bachelor first, Charlie was permitted to date his two finalists — Sarah B. and Krisily — off camera before naming his Chosen One in tonight's live finale (8 pm/ET on ABC).
Mr. O'Connell says he's sick of sneaking around and can't wait to go public with his relationship. But TVGuide.com can't resist reminding him to be careful what he wishes for. Bachelor couples quickly turn into tabloid targets!
"I'm prepared to start a relationship and, as far as scrutiny, I've been taking scrutiny from Day 1 on this thing," O'Connell insists.

When the latest Bachelor is introduced tonight — at 9 pm/ET on ABC — many viewers may feel they already know this guy from somewhere.
Charlie O'Connell, a 29-year-old actor/sailing instructor, is the younger brother of
Crossing Jordan's
Jerry O'Connell. He also appeared in his older sibling's sci-fi series,
Sliders.
While Jerry is comfortably dating John Stamos' ex-wife, Rebecca Romijn, he's also on the lookout for his baby bro's romantic prospects. A happy mixture of nepotism and showbiz connections landed Charlie the Bachelor gig. "My brother knew a producer who was on the show and he suggested to them, why not me?" Charlie says.
Charlie hasn't always appreciated Jerry's penchant for matchmaking. "In high
