Zachary Levi, Chuck
In this week's Mitovich Mega Minute, I take some bits of Comic-Con news and add a scoopy little something "extra."
For example: It was announced this weekend that Dollhouse will set the stage for a reunion between Angel alumni Amy Acker and incoming guest star Alexis Denisof. But have you heard that a Battlestar Galactica meet-up is also in the cards, when Jamie Bamber shares scenes in the Season 2 premiere with Tahmoh Penikett? That's how this will work.
So, in this Mega Minute:
• As confirmed at Comic-Con, Chuck's kung fu will be glitchy at best. But do you know what his next mad new skill will be? I do.
• When Angel alum Charisma Carpenter guest-stars on Legend of the Seeker, what will be on her Mord'Sith's agenda beyond fighting? I've got the answer.
• Also, what secret message did Dominic Monaghan flash to fans at Lost's Comic-Con panel? And get my take on one of the big Smallville reveals.
Watch and discuss the new MMM after the jump.

Charisma Carpenter
This Thursday on CSI (9pm/ET, CBS), Buffyverse alumna Charisma Carpenter gets caught in the middle of a deadly love/lust triangle when a skydiver takes the plunge — and not in a matrimonial sort of way. Carpenter shared a peek at her guest-star turn — "panty party" merriment and all — and previewed her upcoming big-screen role opposite Jason Statham and other action heavyweights. She also talked about the sudden passing of Angel costar Andy Hallet.
TVGuide.com: What can you reveal about your episode of CSI? Who are you playing, what are you doing?
Charisma Carpenter: I play a slinky little character named Mink, who is a suspect in the murder of her boyfriend because there was a love triangle between her and another sexy little thing played by ...

James Marsters, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Joss Whedon by Kevin Parry/WireImage.com
Joss Whedon couldnt contain himself. So jazzed that his landmark musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was being screened at the legendary Cinerama Dome theater (site of this years awesome Paley Fest), he sneaked into the audience to watch one of the numbers before rejoining that old gang of his for group photos before taking the stage for a retrospective Q&A (moderated by yours truly). Like me, I think he would have rather just sat in the theater to drink it in. But there was catching up to do.Ive finally met someone whose passion for musicals outstrips mine (if only because hes genius enough to be able to write one). The reason Joss arrived too late to set up the screening (following my own opening remarks) was because he came straight from wrapping production of his next musical project: Doctor Horribles Sing-Along Blog, an entirely independent made-for-Internet (but no word yet on where youll find it) musical-comedy, conceived during...

Thursday's first-run highlights:8 pm/ETUgly Betty topped the hour with 10 million total viewers, a gain of 600K from its last fresh episode (Dec. 6). The last new 30 Rock (blargh) drew six mil, a 420 thou increase from Dec. 13.9 pmCSI was No. 1 in viewers (18.1 mil, down 1.7 from Dec. 13), while Grey's Anatomy (17.6 mil) claimed the lead in key demos. Week 2 of Celebrity Apprentice, delivering 8.1 mil, plunged 26 percent from its premiere.10 pmWithout a Trace (13.2 mil, slipping almost two mil from Dec. 13) bested ER (9.1 mil), though NBC eked out a win in demos. The oft-delayed arrival of Charisma Carpenter (I would like to think) led Big Shots to a 27 percent gain over its previous episode. (Though the audience for ABC's freshman series now stands at just 6.8 mil, making a big deal out of the increase gives me an excuse to run the photo above right.)

A day late and perhaps a dollar short on top of that. But nonetheless, I would be remiss if I did not share my resolutions for 2008. Such as: The consensus is deafening and I cannot ignore it any longer. Though I have never seen a single episode, nor do I have the opportunity to "catch up" with previous-season DVD sets, I resolve to watch The Wire when it returns this week. Provided that the strike ends... someday... and we start getting new How I Met Your Mothers, I resolve (again!) to finally track down Alyson Hannigan for a Q&A. The sometimes groanworthy Private Practice? I resolve to stick it out through the end of the season. I resolve to do whatever is within my meager yet undeniably increasing powers to get 30 Rock's audience into the seven mil range. As managing editor of this fine site, I resolve to shout from the mountaintops, in the loudest manner possible using HTML, the resolution of the WGA strike once it arrives. I resolve to de...
