On last week's episode of The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes was convinced by his fellow survivors to not breach Grady Memorial Hospital with a sneak attack that could put more lives in danger. But as viewers learned on Sunday's midseason finale, the more peaceful approach didn't exactly work out much better.
Why the Walking Dead midseason finale made Norman Reedus cry for an hour
The episode opened with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) chasing down...

Well that didn't take long.
The Walking Dead's hotly anticipated Season 5 premiere wasted little time getting right into the action — and as a result, quickly paved the way for our band of survivors to escape Terminus, the presumed safe haven they arrived at last season only to be thrown into a train car. Although Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Glen (Steven Yeun) and Bob (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.) were pulled out of the train car to meet a grisly, throat-slitting fate, they...

Even the best TV dramas start to show signs of slowing down after a few years. And while AMC's The Walking Dead has arguably had its own share of stumbles in the past, the confident, action-packed Season 5 premiere suggests a show that's just getting warmed up.

To any outsider setting foot on the Griffin, Georgia, set of The Walking Dead, the sense of heightened security and secrecy is immediately apparent. Production assistants string giant tarps across the entrance to a small alley, shielding any on-camera action from the eyes of dozens of gawkers who have parked themselves across the street in the 90-degree heat holding homemade signs professing their love for AMC's hit zombie drama. ("I <3 Daryl Dixon" is one popular sentiment.) Brief glimpses of the show's stars elicit the kind of eardrum-tearing screams usually reserved for the latest boy band.

The survivors of The Walking Dead have found themselves in yet another perilous position.
During Sunday's season finale, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his small group made their way to Terminus, a community that promised safety for all those who arrived. Once the group learned just how much of a lie that was, they quickly tried to make a run for it. But they ended up being forced by Terminus leader Gareth (Andrew J. West) into a train car, where they were reunited with Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Bob (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.). Suffice it to say, Gareth and the people of Terminus are not allies.

Once again, Rick Grimes and his weary group of travelers learned the hard way that there are no safe havens in the world of The Walking Dead.
During the season finale, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) inched closer to what they hoped was safety at Terminus. Unfortunately...

Abraham & Co. aren't the only new characters that joined the second half of The Walking Dead's fourth season.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) learned that the hard way during Sunday's episode when...

To say it's been a rough zombie apocalypse for The Walking Dead's Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) would be like saying the polar vortex is making things a little chilly. Over the last three and a half seasons, he has suffered the deaths of his wife and best friend and lost track of his infant daughter as well as the group of survivors he had sworn to protect. On a late-August day in Senoia, Georgia, while filming...

It wasn't long before at least a few of the scattered survivors found their way back to each other during Sunday's The Walking Dead. But those who did reunite were put through the paces first.
As Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) struggled to...
The destruction of the prison during The Walking Dead's midseason finale served as a reset of sorts. Once again, the group of survivors we've known and loved over the past four seasons are on their own. But it's that exact reason why this world is the most dangerous it's ever been for those who had come to expect a level of security while living in the prison. Will Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) survive? More importantly, how will the rest of the group fare without the man who once led them to safety? TVGuide.com caught up with executive producer Robert Kirkman to get the scoop on what's next:
