The country-music industry sure is a welcoming bunch. While the genre's heavy hitters — like big winners Miranda Lambert and fiancé Blake Shelton — were the guests of honor at last night's 44th annual CMA Awards, Nashville also rolled out the red carpet for stars from Hollywood, the sports world and even Vegas showrooms.

Although the three-time Magician of the Year winner has never romanced Fiona Apple, he's seduced celebrities such as Mandy Moore, Rob Zombie and Korn's Jonathan Davis — not to mention Goth-guy-loving gals — with his fantastical illusions, feats of endurance, adorable "Noo Yawk" accent and sexy Marilyn Manson-style wardrobe (thankfully accessorized by a much hotter face and body than the shock rocker). Olympics: Women's Figure SkatingLike your average Winter Olympics fan, I was hoping the figure skating in Torino (Turin, to you Shroud fans) would feature the Wrath of Kwan, with Michelle finally capturing the elusive gold medal. That was not to be, so all the U.S. pressure falls on Sasha Cohen, who should definitely be played by Alexis Bledel in any potential future TV-movies (the Shaun "Flying Tomato" White gig will, naturally, go to Carrot Top.) Let's just hope the ladies' programs go smoother than the ice-dancing competition, which featured more crashes than your average drivers-education movie.
