It's been barely over a week since the American Idol tour got underway, but life on the road is already presenting its shining moments and its tougher aspects for the top ten singers. Despite having been voted off American Idol Wednesday night, Carly Smithson could be the happiest person in America (and maybe Ireland, too). Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the 6th-remaining Idol wannabe was nothing but upbeat and full of excitement to get back to her everyday life. The secret to Smithson's upbeat attitude lies in her appreciation of the experience, and her desire to move on. "I'm not that sad to be leaving," she said. "I enjoyed every minute, but we're back in two weeks to prepare for the tour." She added, "I think the show is just amazing. It's such a huge platform to launch yourself off of.
