X Factor Winner Tate Stevens: I'm Happy to Be a Late Bloomer

When Tate Stevens' wife told him that she had signed him up to audition for The X Factor in Kansas City last year without his knowledge, he was less than enthusiastic about the idea, even telling her flat-out that he wasn't going to go.

"We'd watched the first season," Stevens tells "We watched American Idol, The Voice. We watched all those shows. And you see, 15, 20,000 people standing outside in lines. I'm like, 'There's no way I'm going to stand in those lines. No. Not gonna happen.'"

Britney Spears Confirms X Factor Exit: It Was a "Difficult Decision"

Britney Spears has broken her silence on her X Factor exit, describing it as "a very difficult decision."

"I've made the very difficult decision not to return for another season," she said in a statement Friday. "I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio. Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much!  I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most."
