What can we expect for Castle and Beckett's relationship as we head to the end of Castle's season? — Dana
ADAM:
The bumps that we've hinted at before will be exacerbated by two men who come into Beckett's life. First, Beckett will be assigned to protect multimillionaire inventor Erik Vaughn (Ioan Gruffudd) — in his private hotel penthouse. "If Castle aspired to be someone, he'd aspire to be this guy," creator Andrew W. Marlowe says. "Castle's really determined to solve the case and get his girlfriend away from him." During their alone time, Erik will ask Beckett some tough questions about where her relationship with Castle is headed. Unfortunately, as  Beckett wrestles with those questions in the season's penultimate episode, she'll cross paths with a federal investigator (Carlos Bernard) who might offer some different answers. "He opens Beckett's eyes on other possibilities that might be out there for her," Marlowe teases.

CSI: Miami Exclusive: 24 Vet Is Horatio's New Nemesis

CSI: Miami's Horatio Caine (David Caruso) is no stranger to formidable foes, but this season his opponent will be quite a doozy. 24 alum Carlos Bernard has been cast as Horatio's spectacularly wealthy season-long nemesis, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

"We're going to slowly position Horatio in opposition to a very subtle, but powerful, political patriarch," co-executive producer Barry O'Brien tells us. "He's kind of a Donald Trump meets the Kennedy family. ...There will be a very high-octane relationship between the two. A hero is as heroic as his opposition is deadly, so we're really going to go there with this character."

Scoundrels' Virginia Madsen: It's Fun to Root for the Bad Guy

Madsen plays Cheryl West, the matriarch of a family of criminals. When her husband Wolf (David James Elliott) is sent to prison, Cheryl decides she and her four children — ditzy aspiring model Heather (Levin Rambin), young and smart Hope (Vanessa Marano), and twin boys (both played by Patrick Fleuger), one of which is a dim slacker while the other's a sharp lawyer — are going to go straight. Of course, things don't exactly work out that way... read more

24 Finale Preview! Plus: Carlos Bernard Says Kiefer Sutherland's Head-Butt Case "Smells Bad"

This Monday from 8 to 10 pm/ET, Fox's 24 wraps up its latest wild day with Jack compelled to set free his fallen friend, Tony, lest daughter Kim get killed. In this TVGuide.com Q&A, Carlos Bernard previews the surprise-filled season-ender, takes some issue with Tony's "bad guy" status, and also shares his take on Kiefer Sutherland's recent scrape with the law, saying the whole situation "smells bad."

TVGuide.com: At the start of the season, did they map out for you the whole "Tony's bad/No, he's good/No, really, he's bad" arc? So you could prepare as an actor?
Carlos Bernard: Going into the season, we knew we wanted to make him "the antagonist" — I can't really get on board with the "bad guy" thing — and one of the things explained in the finale tonight is ... read more
