Two newspaper scribes have been tapped to pen a new pilot for HBO.Carl Hiaasen, Miami Herald columnist and best-selling author, along with The New York Daily News' sports columnist-author Mike Lupica are teaming on a pilot script for the yet-to-be titled HBO series, reports Variety.The show will be about a Florida-based pro golfer forced to enter the witness protection program.Why would Hiaasen choose Florida to set his golfer-come-witness show? He told Variety, "We thought Florida was a great backdrop to superimpose seedy freaks and scumbags, something that appealed to me instantly because they have generated the inspiration for so much of my work."
