[Spoiler alert: The following interview reveals important plot points from Thursday's episode of The Vampire Diaries. Read at your own risk!]
Magic has been restored in Mystic Falls — but it's not without major consequences.
On The Vampire Diaries midseason finale, the villainous Kai (Chris Wood) discovered he could suck all of the magic out of the Travelers' spell, reinstating it, but it also made him more powerful than ever. And in a twist, Kai put a cloaking spell on Elena (Nina Dobrev), making her invisible to everyone but him.
It's holiday time on The Vampire Diaries, but with Bonnie gone and a crazy psychopath on the loose, there's not much to celebrate.
Although Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) came thisclose to getting their girl Bonnie (Kat Graham) back, the two were brought back to reality when Kai (Chris Wood) forced Liv (Penelope Miller) to stop her spell and destroyed the ascendant. Instead of a long-awaited reunion, Bonnie was left once again alone on the porch where the three had planned to meet.
The Vampire Diaries is going back in time to a festive — drama-free — Mystic Falls winter wonderland.
