When Frasier and Niles learn that the house they grew up in is for sale, they decide to make a visit for old times' sake. Martin accompanies them. When they ask their former landlord, Lasskopf, if they can look under the floorboards for an old memory box, he forbids them to mess with the floor. Later that night, Frasier and Niles come back and sneak into the house. When they look under the loose floorboard, however, they find a human skull and suspect murder. Meanwhile, Roz visits Daphne (Jane Leeves) for advice on how to tell Alice that her hamster has died. Roz leaves Alice with Daphne and Martin while she goes out to buy a new hamster. Frasier and Niles continue pulling up floorboards looking for clues. They find old bank records in the garage and notice that Lasskopf deposited a large sum of money around the time that Mrs. Lasskopf disappeared. They believe Lasskopf killed his wife and hid her remains to collect an inheritance. Not being in on what Roz has told Alice, Martin reveals to Alice that her hamster has died. When Roz returns with the new hamster, she is surprised to discover how easily Alice has accepted the concept of death. Niles and Frasier call the police and confront Lasskopf. The Officer takes Lasskopf away to question him. Niles opens the memory box and discovers an old program from a production of Hamlet that he and Frasier had put together using an old skull they stole from school. Frasier and Niles suddenly realize the skull they found is the same one. Oops. watch
