When a Porsche is stolen from a Westside shopping center, kids from crowded South Central High bussed into Westside High are pegged as the culprits. Hanson and Penhall, as the tough McQuaid brothers, infiltrate South Central, while Hoffs, undercover at Westside, chums up to Lane Keetcham, a spoiled rich kid with a penchant for shoplifting, and Drew Wilder, a poor kid, physically abused by his father, trying to pass as a yuppie.After Lane is arrested for shoplifting and then released, Ioki poses as a rich Westside student hoping to flush out the Westside thief. Penhall, Hanson, and Hoffs spread the word about a shipment of good from an electronics warehouse, and then bust Ricky Mulberry, a South Central kid with a crush on Hoffs, who shows up to loot the van. The Jump St. cops realize they have the wrong man when Ricky confesses that he stole the goods to get money to impress Hoffs. Later, when Drew asks the McQuaids for a meeting with Ioki and shows them his cache of stolen merchandise watch
