Academy Award-nominee Richard Harris ("Unforgiven," "Camelot") plays a trapper left for dead after being mangled by a mammoth grizzly bear. Struggling to survive in the wilderness, he keeps himself going by planning revenge on the expedition who left him, especially group leader John Huston (Academy Award-winning actor-director of "Chinatown," "The Treasures of the Sierra Madre"). "Absorbing suspense...a provocative adventure film," says the L.A. Times, while Leonard Maltin declares this "well-made and engrossing," rating it a high three stars.

Quint Munroe loses his oldest friend, Squadron Leader David Scott on a mission to destroy a group of German V-1 launchers, and Quint must break the news to his wife Beth, with whom Quint had once been involved. In the months that follow, Quint and Beth slowly rekindle their romance — meanwhile, the German V-weapon program continues to advance, and they are getting ready to unveil the V-3. Quint is given the task of destroying the V-weapon plant at Charlon, a mission made possible by a new "bouncing bomb" called the "highball," invented by Dr. Barnes Wallis (of "Dambusters" fame). Just before the mission is to be undertaken, however, the Germans drop a film showing air prisoners, including a still-alive Scott, being moved to Charlon. Now the Mosquito crews will be killing their own colleagues and friends, and Quint must carry out his orders, which include hiding the fact that Scott is alive from Beth. The secret gets out to the squadron pilots, however, and a rebellion starts brewing in their ranks. Try as he might to find a way to save the lives of the prisoners, there seems to be no way for Munroe to avoid killing British pilots with British bombs.

An attractive widow who works for the British Foreign Office and who, while in the Caribbean, falls in love with Feodor Sverlov, a Russian military agent. Neither knows that their innocent affair has stirred up accusations in Farrow's headquarters in London, and at the Russian Embassy in Paris where Feodor is stationed. The heads of both intelligence operations are convinced their meeting was pre-arranged. As the relationship deepens, the two visit the island's museum, where Judith learns the romantic island tradition of pledging love with a Tamarind Seed. But when their vacation ends, they must each return to their homes and their jobs, and defend their innocent relationship. In the attempt to clear their names, they stumble across some dangerous information. A Russian agent, who works under the code name Blue, has infiltrated the top level of British politics and is involved in a case of counter-espionage. Feodor is ordered to return to Russia. But when Judith learns he is to be executed, she warns him. They decide to run off together to a corner of the world where no one can find them. Feodor is to meet Judith in Barbados, but something goes terribly wrong and a bomb demolishes the bungalow where he is staying.
