WILLIS BLASTS OPRAH, TABLOIDS

A Million Little Pieces fan Bruce Willis says that author James Frey was "sucker-punched" by Oprah Winfrey during the recent flap over the "memoir." On iFMagazine.com, Willis shouts out, "'Hey, Oprah. You had President Clinton on your show and if this p---k didn't lie about a couple of things, I'm going to set myself on fire.' It's just shameful how [Frey] was treated." Willis also blames the tabloids that perpetuated Frey's persecution. "They lie about people and just make up s--- all week long, and you have to sue them to get it changed. [And yet] no one is yelling at them." Well, no one other than you and Mr. Cruise. read more

I once went to see Bruce ...

Question: I once went to see Bruce Willis and the Accelerators perform at B.B. King's club in Times Square. My friends all said I was crazy when I recalled a (possibly made-for-cable) special Willis did called The Return of Bruno, in which he played the part of his musical alter-ego Bruno and performed some of the songs from his first album. Is this memory just wishful thinking? Will I have to foot the bill for the next club show my friends and I attend? (Yes, there's money on this one.) Many thanks.

Answer: Looks to me like it's your pals who'll be ponying up for the next outing, Sean.

The former Moonlighting costar did indeed put together an HBO special, Bruce Willis: The Return of Bruno, which debuted in 1987 and was released on home video the same year. A combination of concert footage and faux documentary featuring Bruno Radolini, the fictional c read more

ANISTON INVITED TO 'DANCE

Friends with Money, a comedy costarring Jennifer Aniston and Frances McDormand, has been picked to open the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, running Jan. 19-27. Among the other films making the cut at the prestigious event: Little Miss Sunshine, with Steve Carell and Toni Collette; Jonathan Demme's Neil Young: Heart of Gold; This Film Is Not Yet Rated, an expose of the MPAA's esoteric ratings system; and Lucky Number Slevin, with Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. read more

Bruce Willis showed up on That...

Bruce Willis showed up on That '70s Show as a sleazy guy who was the head of security at a strip club. Kelso got his dream job there, but I couldn’t help but think about how My Name Is Earl’s Joy thought that maybe Demi and Bruce still slept together and didn’t tell Ashton. That was really the only thing in this whole episode that made me giggle while I was watching Bruce’s pervy character watching the strippers in the shower.... And it was more titillating boys'-club humor on Stacked, with girls jumping up and down and touching each other's breast implants when Jenny McCarthy showed up. The slightly less buxom blonde was a gold digger marrying a really elderly gentleman. Which prompted a bunch of old-timer jokes, my favorite of which being Katrina’s comment, “Where do you suppose they are registered… Bed, Bath and the Great Beyond?”... I also watched Freddie — just ha read more

Ashton Kutcher and Bruce Willis

Demi Moore flames past and present — Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher — will collide this November on That '70s Show. A Fox rep confirms that Willis will play the head of security at Chicago's Playboy Club, where Kutcher's Kelso is interviewing for a job. There's no word if Moore's future boyfriend, Haley Joel Osment, will appear as well. read more

What's your opinion on ...

Question: What's your opinion on spoilers? How old does a movie have to be before you can discuss it without being accused of being a "spoiler"? In my opinion, once a movie is released on DVD, all bets are off; if a person is a true movie lover, by the time a movie is on DVD they've seen it already. And if they haven't, too bad.

Answer: What do I think of spoilers? Rosebud is a sled, there is no Keyser Soze, everyone did it, Norman's mother is dead, there is no Tyler Durden, Bruce Willis is dead, they're still on Earth but it's the future, the mother and her light-allergic children are ghosts, it was all a dream and Jaye Davidson is a man, baby. Boy, did that feel good! Oh, and the horse is full of Greeks; it never even occurred to me that this constituted a spoiler, but I found out otherwise. I have mixed feelings about spoilers. Or rather, I have my feelings about spoilers but am aware that not everyon read more

Criminal Minds

Two and a Half Men

9:10 am The session begins, and with Charlie Sheen up there like a sitting duck, I'm bummed that the first question isn't, "So, why did Denise dump you?" Does that make me a bad person? I think it does.

9:19 "We have to have fart jokes [on the show]," reasons Sheen's TV mom, the regal Holland Taylor, "because everyone in the cast farts constantly." Tee-hee. Holland Taylor said "farts."

9:25 A reporter asks another question that isn't, "I have to ask: You. Denise. What's the deal there, huh?" Bummer.

9:40 Scoop! Charlie confirms that his real-life pa, Martin Sheen, will guest-star this season.

9:45 Speaking on behalf of chiropractors everywhere, a reporter informs Jon Cryer — who plays a back-cracker on Men — that "they love the fact that you're giving them a face."

Moonlighting Star Recalls "Pressure"

Best known as Moonlighting's rhyming receptionist, Agnes DiPesto, whom she played from 1985 to 1989, Allyce Beasley recently taped commentary for the just-released DVDs of the detective show's first two seasons. Must have been a fun chance for the cast to reunite and reminisce, right? Wrong.

"Bruce [Willis], Cybill [Shepherd] and I all did it, but on different days," Beasley admits. "I haven't seen Cybill since the show ended. I bumped into Bruce at a store one Christmas."

So what's she's been up to since Moonlighting? After a series of TV guest spots and small film roles, the 50-year-old breast cancer survivor carved out a successful voice-over career (Lloyd in Space, Playhouse Disney).

"I was a single mom when Moonlighting wrapped, and I wanted to be the one to raise my son," she says. "Doing voice-overs was a good choice for that."

Beasley's dream is to play a prostitute on HBO's hit Western, read more
