The annual CMA Awards is country music's big night, and this year's bash (airing Wednesday at 8 pm/ET, on ABC) includes performances by Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn, the Eagles, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood, among others. Brooks & Dunn took home four statues at Tuesday's Academy of Country Music Awards including vocal duo honors as well as a huminitarian award. George Strait and Carrie Underwood each grabbed a trio of wins.Most impressively, Kenny Chesney was named Entertainer of the Year for a third straight time. (Chew on that, Renée.) Only Alabama (with five consecutive wins) and Garth Brooks (with four) have bested that accomplishment.

With eight nominations, George Strait leads the pack at the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, to be broadcast live on CBS May 15.
