Question: You said in the Ausiello Report that Christian and Sean were going to have sex on a couch in the season premiere of Nip/Tuck! Is this confirmed?
Answer: I said no such thing! I merely perpetuated the rumor that something intimate happens between them on a couch — a rumor I can now confirm as fact after having seen the episode over the weekend. But I assure you this particular moment is nonsexual and should in no way imply that Christian is gay. It's what comes up during Christian's shrink rap with Brooke Shields that will have you questioning the hot doc's sexuality.

Question: Is it really a good idea to have that many stars appearing on Nip/Tuck? I am looking forward to the new season, although I was greatly disappointed in how the Carver story line ended. I'm hoping that the show will be able to flow more smoothly, but I wonder if that will be a problem with so many celebrities.
Answer: True, celebrity cameos can be a distraction and a crutch (hello, Will & Grace), but given the fantastic, over-the-top nature of Nip/Tuck, it's not exactly as if the show's realism (such as it is) is in any danger of being violated. I've only seen the premiere episode of the new season (which returns Sept. 5), and the special guest stars are all so well chosen — from Larry Hagman to Kathleen Turner (seeking a voice lift!) to Brooke Shields as Christian's shrink — that I rolled with it. That's once I recovered from the opening scenes, which may be the filthiest minutes of TV I've ever watched. Sometimes I feel I'm not old enough, or maybe too old, to watch this show ...

Richard Thomas, Wild Hearts
What is he-who-is-most-fondly-known-as-John-Boy up to these days? In Hallmark Channel's Wild Hearts, premiering Saturday, July 8, at 9 pm/ET, Richard Thomas plays Bob Hart, a widower who trades his Los Angeles detective's shield for a sheriff's badge as he relocates, with reluctant teen daughter in tow, to his deceased dad's mustang ranch in the Montana countryside. Before you can say "culture shock," Thomas' lawman uncovers a sinister land-grabbing scheme, all while helping his kid adapt to her new home and trying himself to come to terms with his tortured past.
TVGuide.com: I like how Wild Hearts is part Western, part family drama, part CSI....
Richard Thomas: And also it's got a wonderful thing for young p

Question: Please, please, please tell me that Nip/Tuck will be back on FX... and when.
Answer: Look for it in the fall. The show's already making plenty of news, with Sanaa Lathan joining the cast as McNamara/Troy's new owner and Larry Hagman as her super-rich hubby. Kathleen Turner and Brooke Shields are among the guest stars announced so far. All sounds very juicy, and should more than make up for that ludicrous Carver finale.

Question: What was the show called that featured a teacher going out with an actress? The theme song was Joe Jackson's "Is She Really Going Out with Him?"
Answer: Actually, to be a nitpicker (which is, after all, what I do), it was Sugar Ray's rendition of Mr. Jackson's far-superior version of that song.
Anyhow, you're thinking of the short-lived I'm with Her, which debuted on ABC in September 2003. Based on creator Chris Henchy's relationship with real-life wife Brooke Shields, it focused on a high-school teacher (David Sutcliffe) who finds himself romantically involved with a star (Teri Polo) and the zany complications such a situation brought about. Problem was, he wasn't with her for long. The show was gone the following April.

First I need to correct the handful of people who last week thought I was saying that Jessica Hecht played Ross' ex-wife on Friends. If you go back and check, you'll see that I wrote "Ross' ex-wife's wife." Had to get that out of the way. So tonight was another episode that hit home for me. My dad had prostate cancer just like Dr. Dubenko, and had the same risky surgery. My dad survived, but he is unfortunately in that 25 percent group Dubenko was mentioning. It was so sweet that Abby wanted to be such a friend to him. But just a friend. The scene where she politely rejected his request to help him with his problem before and after the surgery ("I'm gonna have to take a pass on that") was priceless. Boy, do I love me some Maura Tierney. But I also love me some Linda Cardellini. So glad Sam finally spoke up for herself against Cruella De Vil, or rather, Kristen Johnston as Eve. So funny to hear Luka whine to Kerry as he complai

Robin Givens (Head of the Class) has been tapped to succeed pretty baby Brooke Shields (who makes her own debut this week) in the role of Chicago's Roxie Hart, beginning Jan. 16. Personally, I'd be more interested to see Mike Tyson do a turn as Hairspray's Edna Turnblad.

Entourage
Question: Do you think Jeremy Piven's performance on Entourage is actually Emmy-worthy, or does it just look like it is because he's sharing the screen with less-talented actors?
Answer: Well, that's not very nice. But the answer is yes, he is Emmy-worthy, and if you doubt it, check him out this Sunday (Aug. 28), in what amounts to a tour de force for Piven and a major turning point for his character. If he somehow doesn't win the Emmy this year (for last year's admittedly, a weaker season of Entourage), he'll almost certainly take it home next year for the range he displays in this season's penultimate episode. (When I first watched it, I assumed this was the season finale, but there's one more to go, on Sept. 4.) I don't think you give enough credit to Entourage's ensemble, which makes the art of acting callow and stupid look easy. (Watch Joey to see it done badly.) In the Brooke Shields and Comic-Con episodes, Kevin Dillon was just brilliant in a very tricky role. I've always liked
