The New York Daily News says fellow panelist and film distributor Eamonn Bowles defended Cuban by blaming the edit on "an untenable legal situation," to which De Palma snapped, "It's a specious legal issue.... "I had never read the script when Woody offered the role to me," the actor tells TVGuide.com. "And I just accepted.
