Smallville: Brian Austin Green Returns as Metallo

Brian Austin, Smallvile

Brian Austin Green's Metallo, the villain with the heart of Kryptonite, is returning to Smallville, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Green first appeared in the Season 9 premiere as Metallo's alter ego, journalist John Corbin. He was killed off the following week after accidentally ripping out his Kryptonite-infused heart while trying to kill Clark Kent (Tom Welling).

Who's Returning to Smallville?

Michael Rosenbaum, Smallville

Executive producer Kelly Souders discusses the fate, fortune or future of various Smallville characters who've been missing in action...

In Friday's episode, poor John Corbin (Green) gets mowed over by a bus. Cue the creation of Metallo, the iconic DC super villain who has it out for the Blur, aka Clark Kent (Tom Welling). Metropolis and its residents, especially Lois Lane (Erica Durance), aren't safe with him on the streets.

Green graciously talked with us about all things Metallo, including who built him, why he hates the Blur and whether he'll return later this season...
