Agent Coulson is the key to unlocking Stage 3 — whatever that means.

On Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midseason finale, the team was thwarted by Centipede, who have so far been one step ahead of them all season thanks to The Clairvoyant — whoever that is.

See, Centipede's own soldiers have been essentially breaking down after every mission, unable to sustain their power without new injections. But when they see video... read more

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Did Ward and Melinda May Really Hook Up?

Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen

Move over, Skye and Ward fans: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has paired up Melinda May and Grant Ward.

Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) essentially invited Ward (Brett Dalton) to her hotel room at the end of last week's episode after their shared bond of having touched the Asgardian Berserker staff. Tuesday's episode revealed that... read more

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Digs Into Melinda May's Past

Ming-Na Wen

The truth about what happened to Agent Coulson isn't the only secret Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been keeping.

When the ABC super series debuted, Coulson (Clark Gregg) had to coax Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) back into the field since she took a desk job after some incident that was likely the catalyst for her nickname The Cavalry. But May will face her past head-on during Tuesday's episode (8/7c, ABC) when one of her secrets could be the key to saving the team... read more

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Thor Might Not Be The Only Crossover

Marve's Agents of SHIELD

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will crossover with Thor: The Dark World on Tuesday's episode (8/7c, ABC) when Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team is sent in to pick up the pieces after the Dark Elves' attack on London. The episode will serve as a history lesson, of sorts, on the people of Asgard when the team comes across as Asgardian relic.

"One of the things that S.H.I.E.L.D. does that we never deal with is clean up," executive producer Jed Whedon tells TVGuide.com. "After the fallout of the film, we're... read more

Do you know how next week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. connects to Thor: The Dark World? — Dirk
NATALIE:
If you haven't yet seen Thor: The Dark World, you may want to put that on your to-do list this weekend or you might be a little lost during next week's episode. "The story centers around an Asgardian relic," Brett Dalton tells me. "As for how it affects the team ... I'm hoping it gives me Chris Hemsworth arms." Seconded.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Takes on a Level 8 Mission! Who's in Danger?

Iain de Caestecker, Brett Dalton

Until now, Coulson's special branch of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been taking on crises on their own. But when they're faced with a Level 8 mission on Tuesday's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they'll be taken straight into the belly of the beast, where they'll cross paths with Victoria Hand.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD: Is Skye really a traitor?

In the comics, Hand (Saffron Burrows) started her career off as a S.H.I.E.L.D. accountant who went on to become an ally of Steve Rogers. But on the ABC series... read more

Hot List 2013: Inside Marvel's Buzzy New Cult Fave Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen

One day it's a punctured plane, the next a horde of Peruvian rebels blasting AK-47s, the next a mad scientist or a serial killer. There always seems to be danger in the air on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., though that's not the case right now. What's wafting through the show's Los Angeles soundstage is the unmistakable scent of love.

The cast of the ABC action-fantasy series has gathered on the Bus — a high-tech megajet — to shoot a scene that finds the government agents regrouping after a particularly rough mission. Black-ops specialist Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) came damn close to losing his life and was saved by, of all people, meek engineer Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker). Hacker chick... read more

Why S.H.I.E.L.D. Is This Season's Biggest Disappointment

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I'm going to get right to the point: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not good.

Five episodes in, and I'm ready to quit -- and I don't quit anything. I'm still watching Grey's Anatomy, Project Runway and yes, even the boys vs. girls season of America's Next Top Modelbut S.H.I.E.L.D. is pushing my limits.

Last week's episode was a small step in the right direction, finally introducing the show's Big Bad, Centipede. But I'm finding it hard to muster up anything beyond apathy towards this evil. Why should I care whether or not Coulson's team can save the world from Centipede when they haven't given me a single reason to care about the people doing the saving? Here are seven ways that S.H.I.E.L.D. went wrong:
