Rather than surrender Goldy, her beloved golden bear, to the powerful magician Master Borgia (Cheech Marin), young Jesse (Bonnie Morgan) escapes into the woods with her furry companion, who also happens to be the last of his breed. While in hiding, the two meet up with Freedom (Mr. T), a "ghostman" and the son of slaves, whose mission in life is to protect all the animals of the forest. The pair turns to him for aid in resisting Borgia's spell.
