The 100 Creator on Who Survived and the Mystery Behind Mount Weather

The best sci-fi show on TV returns Wednesday and it's on The CW. Though it initially appeared to be yet another post-apocalyptic teen drama (love triangles and all), The 100 quickly set itself apart from the pack with its gritty realism and complex world-building. When the series returns for its second season, it continues the momentum of last year's (literally) explosive finale and builds on it by introducing viewers to the mysterious underground compound Mount Weather. But could this really be the 100's salvation? Find out what creator Jason Rothenberg has to say about this, who survived and what's to come.

Exclusive The 100 Sneak Peek: Whose Side Is Octavia On?

You'd think capturing one of the grounders would be a good thing, but the imprisonment of her former captor doesn't jibe too well with Octavia on Wednesday's The 100.

After her brother strings up and beats the man who protected her in captivity, Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) begs Bellamy (Bob Morley) to go easy on him. But Bellamy, who doesn't seem to believe in rational thought or nuance, refuses any mercy, insisting, "We need to know what we're up against, how many there are and why they're killing us!"

The 100's Isaiah Washington: "We're Changing The CW Network as We Know It"

p>The 100 takes place nearly a century after a nuclear war destroyed the Earth, leaving the last remaining humans struggling to survive on a haggard alliance of space stations dubbed The Ark.
