Question: I know I'm not crazy. Back in the '70s, Larry Storch (and, I believe, his old cohort Forrest Tucker) were in a Saturday-morning kid-oriented show that had something to do with outer space. I want to say it ran opposite Bob Denver's Far Out Space Nuts. It would have been around the time of Sid and Marty Krofft's dominance of Saturday-morning programming. Please tell me I haven't completely lost my mind.

Bob Denver, whose portrayal of the pratfall- and blunder-prone titular first mate on Gilligan's Island made him an iconic television figure, died Tuesday from complications of cancer treatment. He was 70. Prior to being shipwrecked with the Skipper and Professor et al., Denver gave beatniks a prime-time face as Maynard G. Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. Bob Denver, whose portrayal of the pratfall- and blunder-prone titular first mate on Gilligan's Island made him an iconic television figure, has passed away, his agent reported on Tuesday. The actor was 70, and had undergone quadruple heart bypass surgery earlier this year.
