It wasn t to be a stunt. It was for him to again show that the white sharks are not these crazy killing machines that are gonna attack everything. People are paddleboarding with them all the time and they don t even know it.
So says filmmaker Jeff Kurr regarding following wildlife photographer Chris Fallows as he swims with a shark in Great White Invasion, part of Discovery s 24th Annual Shark Week.
Oh yeah, it s super-terrifying, especially if you can t stomach Jaws. It s basically just like that, because a regular dude is paddleboarding, like, RIGHT NEXT TO A SHARK!!! Fallows says it was safe because the shark s body language illustrated that he wasn t going to eat him like a bag of grapes. And he didn t. Fallows lived through it, specifically for the purpose of showing us that, as long as you re not bleeding, and that ninety-nine times out of 100, they leave people alone. Tell that to the local news, dude.
