Has owned and co-owned several minor league baseball teams.
A huge fan of the Chicago Cubs, he had a satellite installed to watch their 2003 playoff run while he was on location in Italy.
Teamed up with director Wes Anderson on the films Rushmore (1998), The Royal Tenebaums (2001), The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), and The Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009).
