  • Episode Recap: "No Heads And A Duffel Bag" | My Name Is Earl | 4/18/2008
Kudos to Earl for taking a little break from the coma-dream storyline — whether or not you're a fan of that, you have to admit it felt good to watch Jason Lee perform some more traditional protagonist duties. Not only that, but this week was filled with quite a few standout lines and performances. It was an episode comprised of nearly non-stop flashback and it worked wonderfully. Randy decided to run another karma errand for Earl by attempting to make amends for an incident in which their parents' vacation was ruined. Of course, he had to finally fill them in on the little details — Earl's in a coma, and oh yeah, he was in prison for a while there, too. At Earl's bedside, straight-laced Carl Hickey relives the vacation incident which turns out to be an epic tale involving a duffel bag full of marijuana. • Ask Matt | 10/22/2007
I'm a faithful reader of yours, and I'm hoping that you might share what you've heard about the possibility of Lifetime's Side Order of Life returning for a second season. It didn't seem to get much attention after its premiere, but I found it to be a charming little show for Sunday evenings to help me ease back into the work week. Well, its all come down to this: 10 seasons. Over 200 episodes. Adventure. Laughter. Tears. And as this is the last episode of our journey together, I will make this my last TV Guide blog entry. Thanks be to all of you who have grown with us over the years. It has been a true pleasure, and one I’m sure I will not see the likes of again. The years have gone by so fast… so fast. So much has changed, in my life, and in the lives of those around me. And I’m sure of yours too.I was reminded as recently as yesterday how much can happen in 10 years. I shared a conversation on the plane with Katee Sackoff (of Battlestar Galactica fame — for those living under boulders) who enlightened me that she used to watch the early seasons of Stargate with her father… when she was 17. Holy crap. That aged me.I was a single boy of 26 years when we took our first steps through the gate, and now I speak to you as a father of three at 36 years old. It really does fly,... read more
