Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014
Amal Clooney, the woman who finally got longtime bachelor George Clooney to walk down the aisle, has been named Barbara Walters' most fascinating person of the year.
"She is known primarily through her spouse and while we know little about her, we know a great deal about him and he has fascinated many women. Especially me," Walters said on Sunday night's special.
Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace, Rosie Perez and Rosie O'Donnell
The View has ushered in a new season with a new set, new hosts and a very obvious new direction.
Season 18 began with Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, Rosie O'Donnell and Nicolle Wallace praising the throne — literally — of Barbara Walters.
Joan Rivers' funeral Sunday in New York City was a star-studded event — and, by all accounts, exactly the kind of glitzy, laugh-filled celebration she would have wanted.
Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer
A forthcoming book about newswomen Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Christiane Amanpour hints that there may be something more than a professional rivalry between Couric and Sawyer.
In The News Sorority, which will be released on September 30, author Sheila Weller alleges that Couric once made a snarky comment about Sawyer, implying that the ABC World News anchor trades sex for stories.
Jenny McCarthy believes Rosie O'Donnell will light a spark under The View when she returns to the chat show this fall.
McCarthy was a bit more diplomatic than her former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck when reacting to O'Donnell's re-hiring. "I knew they were looking to bring some heat to the table and there is no doubt that with Rosie there will be some heat," McCarthy told reporters Friday at an event in Las Vegas, according to Us Weekly.
Rosie O'Donnell is officially returning to The View.
After reports surfaced earlier this week that O'Donnell was in negotiations to come back to the show, ABC confirmed the news Thursday via Twitter. (Apparently the objections of O'Donnell's nemesis, former View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, fell on deaf ears.)
Rosie O'Donnell is officially returning to The View, TMZ reports. Representatives for O'Donnell and the show finalized an agreement Tuesday to bring the former co-host back, according to TMZ.

Question: With Emmy nominations coming up, I had a few questions about Orange Is the New Black. What effect if any do you think Season 2 airing just around the time of Emmy voting will have on the show? Thankfully, Season 2 seems to have lived up to its predecessor in the eyes of the critics (I thought the season overall might have even been better than the first), and performances by cast members like Uzo Aduba (Suzanne "Crazy Eyes") and Samira Wiley (Poussey) blew me out of the water, but if the season didn't live up to expectations, could it have possibly hurt the show in the nominations process this year as well as next? And do you think the fantastic performances by Aduba and Wiley this season could potentially help them as they try to get nominated for their work on the first season? — Kevin
