Production on One Tree Hill, which shoots in Wilmington, N.C., an expected target of Hurricane Irene, was shut down Friday in advance of the storm, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Paul Johansson is returning to One Tree Hill both on-screen and off, TVGuide.com has learned.
Johansson, who plays villian Dan Scott, will direct an episode for the show's final season. The 47-year-old actor, who's appeared on the CW soap since Season 1, was also recenty promoted back to a series regular.

One Tree Hill star Austin Nichols says that fans are constantly asking him if the show will be back for be another season, and although an official announcement hasn't been made yet, he's confident the show's creator is prepared.
"Mark [Schwahn] did the finale and I think he might've shot an alternate ending — one to tease another season and one to close off the show," Nichols, who plays Julian Baker, tells TVGuide.com.
