A fan favorite returns to carry on the weight-loss journey and inspire Shay, a social worker who earns the unenviable title of heaviest player ever. Other contestants striving to improve their health include a firefighter, a coach and a young widow.

The acclaimed weight-loss reality series continues to help overweight people work away their excess pounds with the help of expert fitness trainers. In the show's third season, contestants join from all 50 states for a truly national competition.

In Alison Sweeney's first season as host, the show features three teams instead of two, with Jillian leading a band of six rejected contestants. The competition intensifies as the players are sent on an exotic getaway, complete with food temptations.

Twin brothers weighing in together at almost 1,000 pounds join 10 other teams of couples, and they are all given "medical tasks" by Dr. H. The players get to work out with Olympians in Colorado and are treated to some food tips by chef Curtis Stone.

"The Biggest Loser" is revealed in the season finale.

Fourteen overweight contestants arrive at the Biggest Loser Ranch and are surprised to be immediately divided into two teams: men against women. Challenges include competing in zero gravity, a steep uphill climb and resisting temptation in Las Vegas.
