Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell
The ladies of Pretty Little Liars have been on one wild ride throughout the show's four and a half seasons.
What began with a simple anonymous text message from the omniscient "A" has turned into a complicated mystery with the foursome at the center -- (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) — never knowing who to trust. The series has seen several people don the hoodie and assume the identity of A, even more characters die, secrets surface, relationships get destroyed and even one person, the thought-to-be-dead Alison (Sasha Pieterse), return. As the show, now in its fifth season, hits the milestone 100th episode, TVGuide.com chatted with the cast and creative team to find out their favorite episodes, most wacky plotlines, saddest character deaths, which story received the most backlash and more!

Another tormenter has been crossed off the Pretty Little Liars' list, but was she A? The girls certainly think so.
Season 5 of the addictive ABC Family drama picked up immediately after the finale's shooting, with Ezra (Ian Harding) being rushed to the hospital. Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) took action to lure out A and it worked. As a gun-wielding Shana (Aeriel Miranda) showed up to the Fitzgerald Family's Broadway theater revealing that she was responsible for the cabin fire, among other things, and trying to prove her love to Jenna (Tammin Sursok), Aria showed up in time to save the foursome by bludgeoning her.

OK, Liars lovers, Season 5 kicks off Tuesday (8/7c on ABC Family) and as we all know, Ali (Sasha Pieterse) is alive and ready to head back to Rosewood.
Of course, before that, there's also the teeny matter of making sure Ezra (Ian Harding) is OK after being shot in the season finale, (hopefully) uncovering what the heck happened to Mama DiLaurentis, and figuring out if Ali can play nice with Aria and the others. Has she really changed? Will she try to regain her position as Queen Bee? And really, should anyone ever trust her again? ...

Will Ezra survive the Pretty Little Liars premiere? And will he be conscious enough to tell the girls who "A" really is?
On the show's winter finale that led the girls to New York City, Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) found themselves on a rooftop, trying to escape "A." When Ezra (Ian Harding) appeared — throwing off the audience (and the girls) for a moment — he was soon in a battle with "A" that ended with a gunshot. At the end of the episode, Ezra held his bleeding stomach, and fell into the arms of Aria.
Pretty Little Liars
Remember when the girls found worms in their Chinese food? Or the very first time they saw A's lair?
The first four seasons of Pretty Little Liars have featured some pretty crazy, scary and outlandish moments at the hands of A. After all of their close encounters, the girls were thisclose to revealing their tormentor's identity in the season finale. When Season 5 picks up, Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) will continue their desperate search for answers on the streets of New York.
"The title of the season finale is 'A Is for Answers,' and it really is the answer episode," promises Pretty Little Liars executive producer Marlene King, who also directed the hour. "We've been planning this episode since midway through last season and have steadily built to it since the start of this season."

The Pretty Little Liars are stepping back into time, flashing back to what happened that fateful night that forever changed their lives.
On Tuesday's Season 4 finale (8/7c, ABC Family), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) will finally hear first-hand from Alison (Sasha Pieterse) what went down after she disappeared during their sleepover. More importantly, the episode will give more clues as to who Alison's deathly afraid of and whether or not the newly suspected Ms. DiLaurentis (Anne Marie Deluise) is the one who's been torturing the girls this whole time. Plus, fans will finally find out who is buried in the grave that had supposedly been for Alison. Ahead of Tuesday's revelations, the cast and producers were on hand at Sunday's Paley Festival panel, moderated by TV Guide Magazine's Damian Holbrook, to tease the finale and what's to come in Season 5.
