America's most buff and tough governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will become just the latest politician to take to the airwaves, when he joins America's Most Wanted's John Walsh for a special episode. On the upcoming show (April 26, 9 pm/ET on Fox), Schwarzenegger meets Walsh at a DNA testing lab in Sacramento to discuss expanding law enforcement’s authority to take DNA samples from criminal suspects.The Governator was a proponent of a California proposition that mandates DNA testing for felony suspects, not just convicted criminals, but it's one of only a handful of states with such a law. Walsh is calling for all states follow suit, asserting that the testing not only helps solve crimes, but also free the innocent. Her former manager, Sam Lutfi, reportedly is trying to get Brit an audience with no less than California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Britney says her civil rights have been violated, and she wants to talk to Arnold about it," a source, who overheard Lutfi's call to Ahnold's former flack, tells the New York Daily News. "She wants the governor to look into why she can't get an attorney."Lutfi refused to give Arnold's ex-publicist Spears' digits, instead saying that if the Gov called him, he'd "hand Britney the phone" — a pretty neat trick for someone who legally shouldn't be in contact with her.

TV Land has ordered a second, seven-episode season of Myths & Legends, to premiere Aug. 27 at 10 pm/ET. According to the Reporter, the topics to be targeted during the second cycle include whether Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally cast as TV's Incredible Hulk and if Jennifer Lopez's backside is actually insured for $1 billion (and if so, if that's the biggest bargain in the biz).

Hoping to prevent a lengthy WGA strike like the one that lasted 22 weeks back in '88, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday said he would be taking measures himself to end the current work stoppage. "I'm talking to the parties that are involved because I think it's very important that we settle that as quickly as possible, because it has a tremendous economic impact on our state," Reuters quotes him as saying. Schwarzenegger says the "sad story" here belongs to the cast and crew members who will lose their jobs as television productions shut down. I sure hope you didn’t skip 24’s literally explosive Night 2—seriously (as Shonda Rhimes would say), how dark is this new season already?—for the Golden Globes Monday night. All the flowing wine seemed to have loosened and thickened nearly everyone’s tongue, resulting in long speeches that combined with a sluggish pace and an epic number of ads to push the show beyond the 11 pm/ET cutoff time. (You know an awards show is badly time-managed when the seriously big winners are forced to hurry through their speeches.)Anyway, to have had a good time, it looks like you really did have to be there this year.
