Macklemore, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are among the nominees for the first annual YouTube Music Awards.
The nominations are based on YouTube data over the past year based on fan engagement, including views, likes, shares, comments and subscriptions. The winners of each of the six categories will be determined by fan votes, counted by sharing the official YouTube Music Awards nomination videos on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
Edward Norton will host Saturday Night Live when the show returns on Oct. 26. It will be Norton's first time hosting the show, though he has appeared in sketches before, as far back as 1999.
YouTube is staging its first awards show later this year in New York City.
The show, hosted by actor Jason Schwartzman, will take place on Nov. 3at Pier 36 in Manhattan and will also be live-streamed, the Los Angeles Times reports. Acts including Arcade Fire, Eminem and Lady Gaga are scheduled to perform, and other performances from venues in Seoul, London, Moscow and Brazil will also be streamed leading up to the show.
