Reiko, a beautiful Japanese-born widow whose Nisei husband was killed in Vietnam is murdered and Sgt. Friday (Jack Webb) and Officer Gannon (Harry Morgan) are assigned to find her slayer, in "The Gun", this week's episode of Dragnet. The only clue left by the murderer is a slug, which lodged in the floor of Reiko's home after it passed through her head. But a detailed search of the neighborhood uncovers further leads with considerable help from Lurlene (Annazette), a victim of an assault a week earlier. Sharann Hisamoto portrays Miko, Reiko's 5-year-old daughter, Kathleen Freeman is Mrs. Pound and Anne Loos portrays Mrs. Edney. Raymond Mayo is featured as Ben Yoder, the painter. watch
