"After coming home from showing two different clients two different condominiums, I was disturbed to see Anne taking out her personal frustration on the father of her child on national television," Coley Laffoon tells Us Weekly. Laffoon, a former cameraman, now works with ...

Anne Heche by Gregg DeGuire/WireImage.com
Anne Heche's five-year marriage to Coleman Laffoon officially concluded when a judge ruled that the actress must pay her ex the lump sum of $275,000 plus monthly child-support payments of $3,700. (The couple has a 6-year-old son named Homer.)Heche also is being tagged for 75 percent of Homer's private-school tuition, though the exes agreed to split the cost of any of the lad's "agreed-upon extracurricular activities." But lemme tell ya, soccer camp don't come cheap! My advice: Keep him inside this summer with videogames.Heche split from Laffoon in January 2007, and shortly thereafter she went public with her romance with Men in Trees scene partner James Tupper. Anne Heche in Men in Trees by Sergei Bachlakov/ABC
If ever a show deserved a second (or third or fourth) look, it's ABC woefully mistreated Men in Trees. Tonight's episode, which plays almost like a season-opener in the way it resolves one major cliff-hanger storyline and reassesses a number of key relationships, is a terrific re-entry point for those who fell away from this charming show during its many inexplicably long absences from the schedule. (And the new Wednesday time slot does it few favors, with incompatibly cheesy reality-show lead-ins.)This episode is titled "Sonata in Three Parts," a musical metaphor that movingly announces itself when one of Elmo's locals reveals an unexpected past. This character explains how a sonata plays out in three movements: the first generally upbeat and lively, the second a little darker (think Jack adrift at sea and feared dead) and the third taking you back to the beginning. "Things have a way of working themselves out," we're told. And so it is in this episode, as the town maintains an unea...

Scott Elrod and Anne Heche, Men in Trees
It's the kind of blue-skied mountains-meet-the-ocean day that Vancouver was made for. And the cast of Men in Trees (premiering tonight at 10 pm/ET ABC) is spending the whole day in a bar.
OK, so the Chieftain is not a real bar. It's a copy of a nearby bar, right down to the posters offering expert rifle cleaning and bear repellent, and it's where the fictional citizens of the fictional town of Elmo, Alaska, fictionally hang out.
But according to star Anne Heche, the friendly you-scratch-my-back-I-loan-you-my-sled-dog atmosphere that makes the ABC drama such heartwarming fun is anything but fictional.
"The cast and crew of this show really do comprise a real-life Elmo," says Heche, who plays Marin Frist, a New York City writer who finds solace, community and even love in Elmo. "We're all great friends with lots of humor and warmth betw
