Anil Kapoor Fast Facts:

Got his first role at age 7 in Tu Payal Main Geet, but the film was never released.
Was expelled from St. Xavier's College for not attending class, then applied to Pune Film Institute but failed the written exam. He finally ended up taking classes with acting guru Roshan Taneja.
Has appeared in more than 85 movies and is considered one of India's biggest stars.
His breakout role was in the hit Mashaal, for which he won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1984.
Won Filmfare Awards for Best Actor in 1988 for Teezab, Best Performance in 1997 for Viraasat and Best Supporting Actor in 1999 for Taal.
Won a National Film Award in 2001 for Pukar.
First international film was Slumdog Millionaire, which won eight Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.
