Nico (Kim Raver) asks Dahlia (guest star Rosie Perez) to help boost her professional status and lands her a guest appearance on the "Today Show" with Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb. Unfortunately, Nico's attempt to improve her professional image ends up wreaking havoc in her personal life. Meanwhile, a newly engaged Victory (Lindsay Price) unsuccessfully tries to get her down-home, Midwestern parents and Joe (Andrew McCarthy) to get along. Robert Buckley also stars.

While Victory deals with the constant problems of her opening and fashion show, Joe (Andrew McCarthy) frets over his relationship with Victory and makes a life-changing decision. Meanwhile, Wendy (Brooke Shields) returns to her old stomping grounds at Parador Pictures to pitch a new project, but a young up-and-coming VP puts a damper on her triumphant homecoming. Later, Nico (Kim Raver) runs into her dead husband's mistress Megan (guest star Shannon McGinnis) along with Megan's baby Charlie. Dreams and desires--Victory (Lindsay Price) has a nightmare that Joe (Andrew McCarthy) falls and breaks his neck while mountain climbing in a blizzard. She struggles to figure out the meaning of the dream and calls Joe, only to find out that he is training to climb the Matterhorn. Nico (Kim Raver) makes pricey Christmas plans with Kirby (Robert Buckley) and offers to cover all the costs, but he insists on paying his own way. Later, Griffin (guest star James Lesure) asks Nico for her help in acquiring a sports magazine for the company by schmoozing the sexist owner. Meanwhile, Wendy (Brooke Shields) is upset when Shane leaves for a business trip without saying good-bye. She wonders when she became the needy housewife and finds solace in her friendship with Dennis (Ed Kerr), the father of her son's best friend. Paul Blackthorne and David Noro a also star.
