Ana Ortiz and Noah Lebenzon
Ugly Betty's Ana Ortiz and her husband, musician Noah Lebenzon, are the proud parents of a baby girl, the couple's first child.
"Naming is hard!" says the about-to-give-birth Ana Ortiz. "We have a short list that keeps fluctuating between five to seven names." TVGuide.com caught up with the Ugly Betty star at a Product-n-Press event she hosted on Tuesday in New York.
Rest assured, the 38-year-old actress isn't going the Hollywood baby name route. "We're not going with any of the Apple or Pineapple names," she says. "I really want a ...

Producers and costume designers are always thrown a curveball any time their leading ladies announce they are expecting — but the real challenge is camouflaging those baby bumps.
For Ugly Betty's Ana Ortiz, wardrobe and some strategic camera work has been the key to hiding her bundle of joy. "I have been carrying bowls of popcorn around, Easter baskets and all kinds of things," Oritz told TVGuide.com at Ugly Betty's Paley Center panel. "For me, it's easy as pie. For everyone else, they have to maneuver!"
But while some expectant mothers are all but unnoticeable on-camera, others are just plain obvious. Check out our list of some of the best and worst attempts of hiding real-life pregnancies on TV.
Betty has been getting all the men these days, but now her sister Hilda is getting a shot at love — with the Karate Kid.
"Archie and Hilda are heating up," says guest star Ralph Macchio, whose character, councilman Archie Rodriguez, had an undeniable chemistry with Ana Ortiz's character earlier this season. "The entire Suarez house is doing everything they can to set Hilda and Archie up, but she's ...

The latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight, doesn't open until July 18, but an animated DVD out 10 days earlier should satisfy any Caped Crusader cravings. Batman Gotham Knight helps set the stage for Christopher Nolan's feature film, with a series of six interlocking animé tales. The voice cast of this visually stunning interpretation of the DC Comics legend includes Kevin Conroy, who played the title character in Batman: The Animated Series and later in Justice League, ER's Parminder Nagra, Ugly Betty's Ana Ortiz and ex-CSI star Gary Dourdan. Ortiz plays Detective Anna Ramirez,a part she was also up for in The Dark Knight. She lost out to Monique Curnen but got a unique second chance for the animated version. "I audition for so many things, it all just sort of rolls off your back," she says. "But I was glad that I got to play her one way or the other. And I get to put my own spin on it." She worked closely with Dourdan, who plays Ramirez's partner, Detective Crispus Allen. "T...

While the rest of Ugly Betty cast makes the move to New York City for Season 3, Ana Ortiz will be making a pit stop in Charleston, S.C. There, the increasingly in-demand actress will film a plum guest-star gig on Army Wives. On Lifetime's sizzling summer series, Ortiz will play Sandi, a litigious waitress who gets mixed up with Roxy (Sally Pressman) and Trevor (Drew Fuller). Speaking of Betty's cross-country move, I'll answer a burning question on the mind of many readers in this Tuesday's Mega Minute vodcast. Matt Mitovich
Eddie Cibrian by Robert Mora/WireImage.com
Somewhere Ana Ortiz is thanking God and/or doing cartwheels. Why?'Cause the underrated Ugly Betty costar will be getting a new love interest later this season, and he's going to look a lot like Eddie Cibrian. Actually, he is Eddie Cibrian!Multiple unnamed moles (all of 'em Ugly) confirm to me exclusively that Dimples Cibrian aka ABC's go-to guest star of late (see also: Dirty Sexy Money, Samantha Who?) has been cast as Justin's phys-ed teacher slash eventual boyfriend to Ortiz's Hilda. He'll appear in three episodes this season and could return in the fall. Please join me in congratulating Ana!

Could Season 3 bring a musical episode of Ugly Betty? It's inevitable, say the cast of the ABC show. On Wednesday night at the Alzheimer's Association's 16th-annual "A Night at Sardi's" fund-raiser, almost the entire Ugly Betty ensamble along with stars from Heroes, Boston Legal and even Brothers & Sisters' Steven Weber in a glittering snakeskin suit performed selections from the Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie. Betty's Tony Plana, Ana Ortiz, Becky Newton, Mark Indelicato, Vanessa Williams, David Blue and Chris Gorham proved that they can belt out a tune like the best of Broadway, which is no surprise as most of them hail from New York and are, as Ortiz puts it, "theater geeks." For Ortiz, joining the charity show after being asked by her on-screen dad was a no-brainer. "Tony Plana's mother is afflicted with Alzheimer's, so when he asked us to do this we jumped at the chance to honor her. It's for a great cause. It's a wonderful thing." But that doesn't mean the ac...
