Amy Winehouse has been admitted to the hospital once again, following a reportedly adverse reaction to medication. The singer, 24, was rushed to a London emergency room from her home Monday night. Her reps issued a statement saying, "Doctors have advised that [Winehouse] will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow." Winehouse's hospital visit is the second in two months. In June, she was admitted to a clinic after collapsing. Her father said at the time that she was diagnosed with the early stages of emphysema, due to her smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine. Yet, soon after that previous hospital stay, the chanteuse went on to perform at the annual Glastonbury music festival and at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party. With any luck (and some good medical care), she'll recover as well this time around. Anna Dimond

Billie Piper in Secret Diary of a Call Girl courtesy ITV2/Showtime, Amy Winehouse by Mark Allan/ WireImage.com
Cheers to The Secret Diary of a Call Girl for using Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good" as its opening theme. The saucy soul tune perfectly sets the tone for Showtime's naughty new U.K. import. This week's episode, in which Belle (Billie Piper) two-timed a client during an all-night date, also made witty use of Regina Spektor's "Fidelity" during a shower scene. If only Amy — who was seen throwing elbows at an apparently too-frisky fan over the weekend — were as levelheaded as the surprisingly stable Belle, maybe they wouldn't try to make her go to rehab. After being hospitalized last week following a collapse in her London home, Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with emphysema, her father has confirmed. Mitch Winehouse told Britain's Daily Mail that the Grammy-winning soul singer's drug use and unhealthy lifestyle have caused the irreversible lung disease which makes it difficult for sufferers to breathe. "With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes, her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She's got 70 percent lung capacity."Her father said doctors have warned Amy that if she continues her habits, she could be confined to a wheelchair and forced to wear a permanent oxygen mask. "If she goes back to smoking drugs it won't just ruin her voice, it will kill her," he said. He also took on the bad influences in her life, urging the drug dealers "supplying crack to Amy" to "take responsibility."The disease is in its early stages, and her father remains hopeful that perhaps this scare might clea...

Although you might be inclined to think it would be news the day that Amy Winehouse does not faint, apparently the converse is true. A rep for the 24-year-old singer tells the AP that Winehouse was taken to a London hospital after collapsing at her London home. Though she was admitted by her father merely as a precaution, Winehouse whose wealth was recently estimated at $20 million is undergoing tests and may stay in the hospital overnight. Matt Mitovich

British soul singer and tabloid regular Amy Winehouse has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession after a video of the star allegedly smoking crack cocaine was handed over to police. Winehouse's rep told the BBC that the 24-year-old singer is being questioned at an East London police station, and her U.S. spokesperson told People that Winehouse " voluntarily attended" the meeting and "is cooperating fully with inquiries."Winehouse decided to "go, go, go" to rehab for a stint when the tape in question first surfaced in January. Her arrest comes just days after her music producer Mark Ronson denied reports that Winehouse would perform the theme song to the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, because she "was not ready to record any music."Do you think this round of questioning will lead to the filing of charges? Amy Winehouse may be on her way to drug recovery, but she's still not feeling another court date. The singer's lawyer has asked a court in Bergen, Norway, to postpone a hearing set for Friday.Winehouse and husband Blake Fiedler-Civil were arrested in Bergen in October for possession of a quarter ounce of pot, and were released after one day and paying $715 each. Although Winehouse appealed the fine, the po-po in Norway are serious about making Amy appear for her day in court. The recent teary-eyed Grammy winner insists she never got an official letter regarding her day in court, but to the Norwegian fuzz, you don't need a letter to make it official even for a winner of five Grammys. God bless the free-speaking elders. Former Grammy winner Natalie Cole told reporters at one of Sunday night's after-parties that Amy Winehouse is talented but "crazy," and that quintet of wins was questionable... all things considered. "I don't think she deserved it," the New York Daily News quotes Cole (herself no stranger to battles with drink and more) as saying. "She needs to get her life together first, and then get the awards later." (OK, but by that standard just how long would any Grammys ceremony be?) Overhearing Cole's rant, Ringo Starr commented, "Man, those are some grapes" and no, a fruit platter was not being offered to him at the time. Nelly, for one, defended Winehouse's accolades, telling the News, "You can't hate a person for their personal life."
