Amy Winehouse has been admitted to the hospital once again, following a reportedly adverse reaction to medication. The singer, 24, was rushed to a London emergency room from her home Monday night. Her reps issued a statement saying, "Doctors have advised that [Winehouse] will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow." Winehouse's hospital visit is the second in two months. In June, she was admitted to a clinic after collapsing. Her father said at the time that she was diagnosed with the early stages of emphysema, due to her smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine. Yet, soon after that previous hospital stay, the chanteuse went on to perform at the annual Glastonbury music festival and at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party. After being hospitalized last week following a collapse in her London home, Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with emphysema, her father has confirmed. Mitch Winehouse told Britain's Daily Mail that the Grammy-winning soul singer's drug use and unhealthy lifestyle have caused the irreversible lung disease which makes it difficult for sufferers to breathe. "With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes, her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She's got 70 percent lung capacity."Her father said doctors have warned Amy that if she continues her habits, she could be confined to a wheelchair and forced to wear a permanent oxygen mask. British soul singer and tabloid regular Amy Winehouse has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession after a video of the star allegedly smoking crack cocaine was handed over to police. The singer's lawyer has asked a court in Bergen, Norway, to postpone a hearing set for Friday.Winehouse and husband Blake Fiedler-Civil were arrested in Bergen in October for possession of a quarter ounce of pot, and were released after one day and paying $715 each. God bless the free-speaking elders. Former Grammy winner Natalie Cole told reporters at one of Sunday night's after-parties that Amy Winehouse is talented but "crazy," and that quintet of wins was questionable... all things considered. "I don't think she deserved it," the New York Daily News quotes Cole (herself no stranger to battles with drink and more) as saying.
