Carson Daly, Natasha Leggero
After catching heat for a joke she made about Pearl Harbor veterans, comedian Natasha Leggero is standing her ground. "I'm not sorry," she wrote Friday in an open letter on Tumblr.
During NBC's New Year's Eve broadcast, Leggero was chatting with hostCarson Daly about the infamous tweet SpaghettiOs posted on Pearl Harbor Day, which featured the mascot holding an American flag, asking followers to "Take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us."
Remember when ABC Sports used to go "up close and personal" in its profiles of athletic greats? In its terrific new "Nine for IX" series of documentaries about women's accomplishments in sports, ESPN Films applies that same intimate, emotional style to a true legend of college basketball, University of Tennessee coach Pat Summitt, in the video love letter Pat XO (Tuesday, 8/7c, ESPN). Produced by Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, this entertaining collage of testimonials from players and colleagues — with Summitt's grown son Tyler providing an emotional narrative thread — is underscored with sadness in the wake of her diagnosis last year with early-onset Alzheimer's...

Summer is here and school is out! But like any good teacher, we have assigned some homework. (Don't worry, the beach will still be there tomorrow.)
With more great TV than ever available in so many different places, it's easy to miss a show or two. Below, we've hand-picked a dozen that you might not have noticed or simply didn't have the time for during the regular TV season. But they deserve your attention. Behold the 12 shows you should catch up on this summer:
Zooey Deschanel and Dylan O'Brien
Everyone's losing it — or more to the point, remembering how they lost it — on one of this season's more uproarious episodes of Fox's New Girl, a reminder of just how potent the comic chemistry can be between Zooey Deschanel and her BFFs when they all hang together, sharing embarrassing stories (some more mortifying than others) about how their "innocence" (such as it never was) was stolen. This episode (Tuesday, 8:58/7:58c) will be especially enjoyable for fans of Max Greenfield's Fat Schmidt slapstick and for those who've been waiting for Lamorne Morris' Winston to emerge from the sidelines and get some major LOL action. Jess (Deschanel) starts the trip down Painful Memory Lane with glimpses from Prom Night, which brings suitors including Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien (Stiles!) into her life. But it's Winston's grotesque hook-up and Fat Schmidt's messy night in college with the girlfriend who would become Merritt Wever (from Nurse Jackie) that you're likely to remember. All that and another great payoff at the end. No sophomore slump for this show.
On Tuesday, the Last Comic Standing vet Amy Schumer debuts her very own series on Comedy Central. Inside Amy Schumer (10:30/9:30c) is a riotous mishmash of scripted scenes, recorded stand-up material, and interviews with regular Joes. Schumer took a few minutes out of her busy schedule to call up TV Guide Magazine and get us Inside Amy.
Kate Walsh, Jon Lovitz
Comedy Central certainly gets diversity points in assembling the lineup for Charlie Sheen's celebrity roast.
The cable network has added William Shatner, Jon Lovitz, Patrice O'Neal and Amy Schumer, as well as Kate Walsh (yes, Kate Walsh from Private Practice) and...
