Makism Chmerkovskiy, Meryl Davis
Seven years after coming thisclose to a win with Mel B. on Dancing with the Stars, Maksim Chmerkovskiy finally has his Mirrorball trophy. His victory with Meryl Davis on Tuesday seemed to be a foregone conclusion, or at least the hot pick, since the cast announcement, but Chmerkovskiy says he had no expectations when he decided to return to the show after taking two seasons off.

"I really had no expectations. I thought I would last three, four, five weeks," he tells TVGuide.com. "And then Meryl walks in and I go, 'Are you guys serious? There's no way this is my partner.' I was expecting ...

Second place! Woohoo! Who would've thought that when I was sitting at a table and saw Amy walk through the door for the first time? Seeing her walk in with these prosthetic legs and not having any idea what at all would be possible, and now to think about what we've achieved and what we've created — that really is amazing.
I had a gut feeling that Maks and Meryl were going to take it, and I said that to Amy, so we knew. Based on the packages and the tone and the way they put everything together, I had a feeling they ...
Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli
Dancing with the Stars kicks off its two-part Season 18 finale Monday night (8/7c, ABC), with two Olympians squaring off against a former child star and a boy bander to see who will take home the Mirrorball trophy.
The winning pair will be chosen on Tuesday's show. Who will it be — Candace and Mark, James and Peta, Amy and Derek, or Meryl and Maks? We've sized up the final four, so check out each team's strengths and weaknesses and vote in our poll for who you want to win.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis
It only took 18 seasons (and nearly a decade) for me to tune in to even a minute of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. I'll admit that nostalgia for some of my cherished '90s TV stars Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar, combined with a small crush on boy-bander James Maslow, piqued my interest. But halfway through that first episode, I knew right away that I was hooked.
What started as unexpected enjoyment has quickly evolved into a mild obsession. I get mad when a team's score seems unjust or excited when a duo nails their performance. I get nervous when one of my favorites is deemed "unsafe." I can't get enough of the behind-the-scenes action, the fun banter and watching the relationships develop between the stars and their pros.
Thanks for your votes!
Amy is doing a lot better. Even on Monday she was feeling good. I can't believe we got a 40. We never ever expected that, especially with the mishap with the stool. I was supposed to kick the stool and Amy was supposed to catch it with her leg and pull it up, but the stool didn't go over, so I had to pull it back myself. I'm not sure if the judges didn't notice it or what. I guess you can say it was an unfortunate moment and not an actual misstep.
I really loved choreographing that ...
Thanks for your messages! Sorry I was MIA last week. Things got hectic, but I'm back now!
Amy is feeling better. It's a day-to-day thing. She was overworking a certain muscle group in her back and it just came to a head on Monday. After we got the judges' comments, she turned to go up to the skybox and she felt something pop. Her muscles had spasmed and she dislocated ...
Jimmy Fallon and Diane Keaton
Our top moments of the week:
12. Worst Sleepover: When Marcus' dad, Hugh, comes to town on About a Boy, he crashes at Will's place. Unfortunately, Hugh is a "hot sleeper," so he insists on slumbering in the nude and later sneaks to Will's bed when the couch isn't up to snuff. When a sudden knock at the door wakes them, Will finds himself and Hugh fully spooning with some unconscious caressing thrown in for...
Derek Hough, Amy Purdy
Amy Purdy says the injury she suffered during Dancing with the Stars Monday was so painful that she almost passed out during the broadcast, and she isn't sure whether she'll be able to perform on next week's show, People reports.
How'd you like Disney Week?
Thanks for all your votes and messages this week. They've really meant a lot to us, Amy especially. The waltz was a hard one for us, but we pushed through and I'm so proud of Amy and how well she did. We had our usual pep talk before we went out to dance and I just told her to really enjoy it. At the end of our performances, Amy is quick to criticize herself. As soon as we finish, she'll point out what she did wrong or say, "I was off-balance" or something. As I'm holding ...
Drew Carey, Witney Carson
Many of the contestants on Dancing with the Stars were apprehensive about switching partners for last week's switch-up, but that wasn't the case for Drew Carey. In fact, the Price Is Right host says he'd like to swap again. (No disrespect to Carey's pro partner Cheryl Burke, of course.)
