TV's (distant) fifth network is saying no más to all-telenovelas, all the time. According to Variety, the channel in your area that isn't the CW has drawn up a revamped schedule, kicking off Mar. 8, that adds movies and martial-arts contests to the mix, and snips the sudser slate from 10 hours a week to four. That said, MyNetworkTV's new dramatic offerings are American Heiress (pampered beauty stranded in jungle with blue-collar hunk, starring General Hospital alumna Alicia Leigh Willis) and Saints & Sinners, starring Maria Conchita Alonso, Charles Shaughnessy, Mel Harris and Robin Givens.
Last month on SoapNet's Soap Talk, Alicia Leigh Willis (Courtney) hinted that she'd rather see her General Hospital character killed off than recast with another actress. Well, TVGuide.com can now report that — Spoiler alert! — GH is granting Willis' wish.
Although the ABC sudser wouldn't confirm it, a reliable source says Courtney will be the next major character to perish in the Port Charles encephalitis epidemic. As for the fate of her unborn child — who may've been fathered by either Jax or Nikolas — you'll just have to stay tuned.

After GH's cast and crew threw Willis a goodbye party on the set, executive producer Jill Farren Phelps persuaded her to stay and wrap up the pregnant Courtney's triangle with Jax and Nikolas. "I was ready to go," she recalled, "when [Jill] came to me and said they had this really great story line. Things felt unresolved. [I said] 'Yes, of course.'"
