Spike Honors Immortal Rocker Alice Cooper

Welcome to his nightmare. Shock-rock pioneer Alice Cooper (né Vincent Furnier), famous for his theatrical live act, receives a career-achievement award tonight, as Spike honors the best in horror, sci-fi and fantasy at Scream Awards 2007 (10 pm/ET) — a film, TV and comic-book gala featuring categories like Best Horror Movie and Most Memorable Mutilation. TV Guide: You're receiving something called the Rock Immortal Award. Alice Cooper: They did say immortal, right? Not immoral? [Laughs] TV Guide: Immortal. Do you feel it? Cooper: Well, I'm in better shape at 59 than I was at 29…. If you look at the bands that are still here from that '60s era, it's all guitar-driven hard-rock bands. Ozzy's still around. read more

Crashing the Celeb Golf Tournament

It's always been a dream of mine to work with farm animals. Now, I'm proud to say it's a reality. I guess all kinds of weird things start to... read more

That is some serious devotion, isn't it? I wondered what they thought of the show and who was their favorite rocker. And I wondered if they were reading these recaps. I contemplated pulling up alongside them and yelling the Watercooler web address into their window, but realized that probably wouldn't be the best way to foster a writer-reader relationship.

Anyway, wasn't it wild finally to see INXS take the stage? Yes, they jammed a bit in the first episode, but this was a full-on performance of a new song called "Us." They even called up Dave Navarro to play with them. Sure, we all knew Dave would sit in, but it was still fun. Like when Alice Cooper used to lop off his head in a guillotine on stage. You knew it was preplanned, but it made you smi read more
