This footage was caught on October 21st 2007 in Huntington Beach, California on the north and south side of the pier during extreme Santa Ana winds (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-winds21oct21,0,3031903.story?coll=la-home-center) which helped fires blaze out of control. When your neighborhood is on fire, drop everything and go kill yourself in the surf! With a mix of a south and a north swell, maybe some west, these swells came together to provide some great surf along the coast of California and because of the strong offshore winds from the Santa Ana, the surf was that much better. This footage was edited and synchronized to a song performed by The Fakes, 'Suicide', which was written by Chuck Briggs and The Dischords, well known guitarist in PUNK who passed away in 2000. Chuck was best known for playing in The Dischords during the 80's and The U.S. Bombs during the 90's. The Fakes are: Steve Reynolds - bass - original member of The U.S. Bombs, Glenn McCourt - vocals - member of Abracadaver, The Revlons,
Elliott Santos - guitar - member of Abracadaver, Alex Gomez - drummer - member of The U.S. Bombs, Mau-maus, The Skulls. Pictured in the video are Matt - drums and Brandon - rhythm guitar.
