How Aquaman Got His Groove Back

Aquaman may be one of the most well known superheroes, but that doesn't mean he's one of the most popular. Though his fans know he's among the most powerful and fearless characters in comics, the general public has been laughing at the orange and green clad hero since his days on the 1970s Super Friends cartoons. Long derided because his main superpower seems to be his ability to "talk to fish," and due to his perceived uselessness out of the water, Aquaman is more associated with punch lines than punches.

Patrick Jane accepts the help of a local astrologer, Ellis Mars (JOHN BILLINGSLEY), to solve the puzzling case of a triple homicide In an effort to protect the rest of the team, Oliver decides to register for the Vigilante Registration Act to see what the government plans to do with the new law. As he suspected, it was a trap to lure superheroes to an undisclosed location where he is confined to a jail and subjected to a battery of brutal tests under the supervision of Col. Slade (guest star MICHAEL HOGAN - Battlestar Galactica). Aquaman (guest star ALAN RITCHSON) and his new wife Mera (guest star ELENA SATINE) team up with Clark to free Oliver. Lois is frustrated when Clark continues to push aside her offers to help the team and sets out to prove she can play with the big boys. Aquaman Returns to Smallville

Clark Kent will have even more backup in Smallville's final season as Justice League member Aquaman is returning for November sweeps.

Alan Ritchson, who last appeared in Season 8, is set to reprise the role of Aquaman (aka Arthur "AC" Curry) in Episode 9, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Smallville Scoop: Justice League Returns! Plus Clark Gets a Desk Job

Get ready for the return of the Justice League. When Smallville comes back in September, the Super Friends reunite to search for Clark Kent, who went missing in May's season finale after tussling with Lex Luthor at the Fortress of Solitude.Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar have departed (and are currently producing the Hannah Montana movie), so four of the series' longtime producers have taken over for Season 8. "Luckily [Al and Miles'] voices are still talking to us in our heads as we're breaking stories," says Kelly Souders, who is running the show with Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer.
